Cardiac Care Series: Preyhypertension - Are You At Risk?
What we used to think of as normal, healthy blood pressure may no longer be so healthy. If your blood pressure is between 120/80 mmHg and 139/89 mmHg, then you have what is called "prehypertension." In earlier days, these measurements were considered "high normal."
With prehypertension, you do not currently have high blood pressure but are likely to develop it. You can adopt a healthy lifestyle to avoid getting high blood pressure and the heart problems that go with it.
Learn about prehypertension, its warning signs and what you can do as part of your cardiac care in our 4-part video series. These videos are in a virus-free executable format that can be downloaded and viewed at your convenience on an IBM compatible computer or on your Mac. If you choose, we also offer an audio series -- at no charge to you. Both the video and audio presentations were created by Jack Blankenship,RN,LNC,CS.
